Dame Dash’s now classic interview with The Breakfast Club may have been dominated by Dame’s controversial definition of a boss, but he was actually on the program to promote his new film Loisaidas.
The movie was made in conjunction with Kanye West, and now both Roc-A-Fella Records alum are being sued over its title.
According to TMZ, Michael Medina of the Latin musical duo known as Loisaidas claims the movie’s promotion of violence and drugs harms his group’s reputation. Medina is requesting a judge halt the project, and he is seeking damages.
Loisaidas is a common name for New York City’s Lower East Side. Dash and West’s film centers around a young amateur BMX street rider and two Harlem hustlers that have relocated to the LES. Loisaidas stars Dash, Murda Mook, Smoke Dza, and The Lox.
