Nick Gordon, the man held legally responsible for his ex-girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death, made his first court appearance this week after being arrested for allegedly beating his girlfriend, Laura Leal. Sources say the abuse was so severe that she had to be hospitalized last Friday.
If you remember, Bobbi Kristina Brown was the daughter of iconic singer Whitney Houson & New Edition’s Bobby Brown, who sadly passed away in 2015 after she was found unresponsive in her bathtub.
Leal, went to the Sanford Police Station on Saturday to inform officers that Gordon, her live in boyfriend, physically abused her and would not allow her to leave their residence.
Gordon allegedly beat Leal because he thought that she wanted to hook up with one of his friends. He then held her captive in their Florida home and proceeded to punch and kick her with a closed fist.
Officers located Gordon at a clubhouse near his home, where he was hauled off to jail and charged with domestic battery and kidnapping.
During his court appearance, the judge ordered Nick to wear a GPS monitor and to stay away from his girlfriend. He was also ordered to stay away from his own home even though he informed the judge that Leal does not live there. Gordon’s bond was set at $15,500 for the kidnapping and domestic violence charge.
Details of Gordon’s life and relationship with Bobbi Kristina are expected to be shared in a new biopic on TV One “Bobbi Kristina”, that will focus on events leading up to Bobbi’s death. The movie is set to debut later this summer.
