Pusha T Starts College Fund for 6-Year-Old Non-Violence Advocate Who Went Viral on Facebook Video

Pusha T, recently created a college fund for 6 year old, Jeffrey “Lil J” Laney. He was prompted to do so after viewing Lil J’s Facebook video calling to stop the violence in his hometown of St. Louis. The 6 year old’s video went viral after being posted by his mother on May 15th.

In the video, Jeffrey urged the people of St. Louis to “stop killing each other.”

Rapper Pusha T, who is also the president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music record label, was one of the millions of people who were touched by the video and the little boy’s message. He decided to respond to Jeffrey’s video by penning a letter and recording a video of his own.

In the letter, Pusha T starts off with,

“Hi my name is Terrence ‘Pusha -T’ Thornton. I saw your video and I’m really sorry that you are having to deal with people shooting guns and hurting others where you live.” He goes on to say, “But I thought it was very brave of you to speak up and try to help your family, friends, and community. There a lot of 6yr olds all over the United States who are scared just like you and guess who their Super Hero is…YOU!!”

Pusha T ended the letter by announcing that he was starting a college fund for the little guy. However, before that he informed Jeffrey that he was going to pay for Six Flags tickets and summer camp at the Boys and Girls Club for Jeffrey and his cousins. He also threw in a couple of other gifts including games, an iPad, and a promise to get tickets to see the new Spider-Man film. In response to Pusha T’s generosity, Jeffrey’s mother posted another Facebook video of him with all of his gifts. He thanked the rapper for everything and proceeded to blow him a kiss.

Good Job Push!!!
