The 2017 BET Experience Will Set LA On Fire


For nearly 4 decades, the BET network has been the main avenue opening doors for people of color to share their talents in music, news and within television programing. The network continued its legacy with the establishment of The BET Awards at the turn of the 21st Century and later, the BET Experience. Both events have created Los Angeles’ #1 weekend full of entertainment. Celebrating 5 years, the BET Experience was created to bring thousands of music lovers together to enjoy performances by music’s biggest starts and to become the perfect introduction for the leading award ceremony among Hip Hop and R&B.

The 2017 BET Experience takes place Thursday, June 22nd through Sunday, June 25th at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, CA. The four-day festival begins on Thursday night with an invitation only VIP Late Night Kick Off Party, sponsored by Courvoisier, and the STAPLES Center Concert, sponsored by Hulu. The concert will include performances by Kid Cudi, Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T and Desiigner & Playboi Carti.

The next night hosts the BETX Live and another invitation only event, Pool Groove, both sponsored by McDonald’s. Capping the night is a soulful overtone at the STAPLES Center Concert, presented by Coca-Cola, with performances by Bryson Tiller, Jhené Aiko, Jidenna, Khalid, THEY & H.E.R.

The entire weekend is set to be full of explosive events including the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Sports Awards, Comedy Central “Legends of Chamberlain,” VH1 Save the Music: Compton Sounders Drummer Squad Check Presentation and the anticipated Celebrity Basketball Games with DJ Malski and hosted by Christian Crosby and Big Boy of Los Angeles’ Real 92.3. This year’s celebrity basketball players include Jidenna, Doug Christie, Soulja Boy, Stevie J, Dave East, Tank, Joey Bada$$, The Game, DJ Mustard, Trevor Jackson, Brandon T. Jackson, Rotimi, Snoop Dogg, Nick Cannon, BBD (Bell Biv DeVoe).

The nightly STAPLES Center Concert is sure to be set on fire with rousing performances. Artist like A$AP Rocky, SchoolBoy Q, Gucci Mane, Rae Sremmurd, Migos, Young Thug and Lil Yachty will blaze the stage bringing a cap to the concert series.

With all of the dynamite events and major celebrities in attendance, the 2017 BET Experience is definitely going to the be the hottest weekend in Los Angeles.
